Established in the year 2005, Mr. Balaji Ramaswamy, CEO of The Creative Texture has anchored the company with a mission to support farmers and organic farming, adopting eco-friendly methods and fair trade practices, that directly benefits farmers and also the planet.

What started with humble beginnings of 2 weaving machines providing organic greige fabric to domestic market, The Creative Texture quickly turned tables within a few years, exporting a range of premium bedding collections to international markets in the UK, USA, Europe, Middle East, Australia and New Zealand.

Our manufacturing facility is a work of art in itself! With 5S standards implemented in our factory, we have a well-organized, auto-pilot set-up that ensures seamless work process. The factory campus comprises of 8 dedicated buildings, with over 400 employees & technicians partaking in various manufacturing processes. Our facility has exclusive departments for each minute production process.

The Creative Texture’s manufacturing facility has been certified with GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard), Fair-trade, BCI and Ethical Trading Initiative, amongst other quality certifications.

Weaving

Our weaving facility consists of imported modern machines which has a weaving capacity of 600,000 meters per month, with 120 – 1200 thread counts. We use high-quality yarns to produce finished fabrics, that complies global industry standards. Our facilities can weave-up yarns of widths from 40-140 inches, with a maximum finished width of 126 inches.

The yarns we use in our weaving facility for sheeting, are carefully graded and sorted based on quality that range from extremely fine fabric to a high standard regular linen.

Processing

Our textile processing house has a dedicated dyeing unit for our woven fabrics. To ensure fine dye quality, the processing is generally done close to harvesting season, when base material is at its best. Complying with safety standards and to safeguard environmental purity, we follow a safe discharge mechanism to clear the residual dye water, without affecting the environment.

Our state-of-the-art Oekotex 100 – a GOTS and Fair-trade certified processing unit has the following highlights:

– Computerized color matching system, to ensure color accuracy
– Capability to achieve a maximum whiteness index of up to 150
– Impeccable color consistency and finishing

Made-Ups

At The Creative Texture, we focus on end-products for its quality and feel. For this, we have a sophisticated 5S implemented finished-goods unit which includes ultra-modern sewing machines with trim cutting and premium finishing capabilities, well-equipped quality control labs to ensure finest made-ups, and modern sewing lines with quick track management for time-bound deliveries.

Our technically skilled workforce produces 75,000 sets/month and can provide finished fabrics within stipulated deadlines. Our made-ups comply with EU/NZ/US/AUS standards, while we have an open-end approach to adopt more quality standards, as time demands.

As an eco-conscious company that believes in energy-saving practices, we strive to use planet-friendly means to generate energy for our factory processes. About 70% of the energy that powers-up our manufacturing facility is generated through wind mills, and our goal is to achieve 90% wind mill powered energy in the future.

We support and use green-energy and have plans underway to provision more green-conscious energy through Solar and Recycled Energy methods.

Integrity is a value that should be practiced, than preached. At The Creative Texture, we are not only dear to eco-welfare, but also to farmers’ welfare. As a socially-conscious organization, we salute our farmers by adopting Fair Trade practices in our business. Fair Trade recognizes and rewards the noble efforts of our farmers who contribute greatly to our society. And to this, we follow and adopt various farmer-friendly practices to stay connected to our grass roots.

We use organic cotton for our production, so that farmers benefit through us directly. We have also partnered with Pratima Agro – a social NGO group that works for farmers’ welfare. Our journey of Fair Trade Premium projects with Pratima Agro started in the year 2006 and is growing stronger with each passing year, empowering farmers in many ways.

Some of the welfare activities done by using Fair Trade Premium funds:

• 2 million rupees set as revolving funds that help 103 Self-Help Groups (SHG) comprising 1648 women from the villages
• Tractors distributed to villagers through Community Centers set-up through the project
• Bicycle distribution to students
• Seed distribution to farmers
• Health & Sanitation camps
• Set-up clean drinking water sources
• Academic scholarships for farmers’ children
